This week I feel the pressure of
the things we need to do and get done before September comes and I under
extreme pressure but really want a nice big glass
of Single Malt 20 Years Glen Deveron and
Maduro Cigar to ease my mind.
But I won’t. I’ll just make lists
like I always do. It is my way of relieving anxiety and feeling in control. So
here’s what’s on my to do list:
1.
Closing 7 projects
2.
Planning for a launch phase
3.
Reorganizing team based on
24hours shifts
4.
Prepare my board presentation
5.
Relook into operational budgets
6.
Closing vendors issues
7.
Working on new alert matrix
As you can see, my to-do
list is not unrealistic. It’s just crazy! On August 25, I have to close 7
projects, on August 28, We have board meeting, 3 sleepless days till the 1st
of September, September 1st SIDS conference start, September 5th
closing SIDS conference and closing all operational events.
HELLO! Talk about a lot going on.
My middle name is ostentatious. I am not one
to skimp or scale back on anything. I was advised already about not taking on
too much while I’m massively under pressure. I just can’t help it.
Couple all of that with just
doing the normal preparation for such operational event and readjusting our operation
and team a bit to fit all this. I wish I had four hands and two heads or least
two of me and two of my team to fit it all in.
I am happy to report a successful
end I passed the 2 project phases and still have 7 more to go.
I’ve always erred on the side of being optimistic pre-closure so this is no
surprise.
Other than that I feel great.
Just a little too stressed. Luckily my lists mentally keep me in check. Let’s
see how much I get done next week.
